Expect to Pay More for Water in 2016

The Public Works Division of the City of Miami Beach says because CMB had such a big jump in Storm Water fees in 2015, they do not expect there will be an increase again in the near future. Be aware that there’s more bad news right around the corner: the CMB Public Works Commission is considering increasing what we pay for water and sewer fees.  Continue reading Expect to Pay More for Water in 2016

That was until last month when Miami Beach Mayor Phillip Levine and city commissioners canceled the proposed redevelopment plan deciding to follow a more modest proposal to renovate the existing center, as reported by the Miami Times.

Take The Train To SoBe? Someday…

The Miami Herald reports there’s a new Miami-Dade study which looks at building a future light rail service from Miami to Miami Beach. Which means some day, instead of sitting in traffic backed up on the MacArthur Causeway, you can whisk past the bottlenecks and get right to your business on the beach.

It’s a big maybe. But officials are hopeful.
