April is Bike Rack Spring Cleaning Month at the Presidential. If you have an old bike that is attached to the rack but doesn’t appear to be in use anymore, we will be removing it and trashing it by April 15.

Bikes that have flat tires, missing parts and excessive rust are an eyesore – and a sure sign that haven’t been used in a while. The Presidential has installed a new bike rack by the rear elevators which will accommodate more bikes than before in less space. Thank you for your patience while the new rack was being built. We apologize for the inconvenience of having to store your bike in your apartment during construction.

There are four rules that everyone needs to observe about the new bike rack:

• Lock the bottom of your bike frame near the pedals to the bike rack. Your bike should be perpendicular to the pipe along the floor used for the new bike rack.
• Only bikes with kick stands can use the rack. If you don’t have a kickstand, there are a limited number of slots in the old bike rack under the 2nd floor parking ramp. If that doesn’t work, please either get a kick stand or store your bike in your apartment.
• All bikes need to include a Presidential Condominium sticker that can be obtained at the office. If you can’t come to the office during the day, please call (305) 673-4965 to make arrangements to get a sticker. The sticker will let us contact you in the future if we need to move your bike.
• Don’t block the doors to the cars parked adjacent to the bike rack.
