Bicycle Spring Cleaning – Get A Free Presidential ID Sticker!

SoBeBikeShadowApril is Bike Rack Spring Cleaning Month at the Presidential. If you have an old bike that is attached to the rack but doesn’t appear to be in use anymore, we will be removing it and trashing it by April 15.

Bikes that have flat tires, missing parts and excessive rust are an eyesore – and a sure sign that haven’t been used in a while. The annual Spring Bike cleaning will help keep our building looking tidy. Thanks in advance for removing any old bikes that are no longer being used. There’s a New Bike Rack In Town

The Presidential has installed a new bike rack by the rear elevators which will accommodate more bikes than before in less space. Thank you for your patience while the new rack was being built. We apologize for the inconvenience of having to store your bike in your apartment during construction.

There are four rules that everyone needs to observe about the new bike rack:

  • Lock the bottom of your bike frame near the pedals to the bike rack. Your bike should be perpendicular to the pipe along the floor used for the new bike rack.
  • Only bikes with kick stands can use the rack. If you don’t have a kickstand, there are a limited number of slots in the old bike rack under the 2nd floor parking ramp. If that doesn’t work, please either get a kick stand or store your bike in your apartment.
  • All bikes need to include a Presidential Condominium sticker that can be obtained at the office. If you can’t come to the office during the day, please call (305) 673-4965 to make arrangements to get a sticker. The sticker will let us contact you in the future if we need to move your bike.
  • Don’t block the doors to the cars parked adjacent to the bike rack.

Questions? Suggestions? Problems? Please contact the office at (305) 673-4965 or email info@presidentialsouthbeach.com.

The previous over-crowded single row bike rack was replaced with by a new, two-row DIY design which can support almost twice as many bikes as the previous rack.

Best Ride On The Beach Is On Two Wheels

On the 2nd Saturday of each month the cars part like the Red Sea for anyone who can ride a bicycle. Residents, visitors and cyclists of all ages are welcome on the The Miami Beach Community Ride, brought to you by Miami Beach Bicycle Center and the City of Miami Beach.

If you are a serious rider intent on raising the bar on your personal best…this ride is NOT for you. But if you like to meet and greet new people from all over South Florida, get some exercise, and have a great time, queue up in front of the bike shop on 5th St at Washington at 9a. This police escorted ride takes about two hours.

The route circles the City of Miami Beach, going North on Ocean Drive and Collins and returning on South Bayshore Rd and Washington Ave. It’s all at a casual pace in the range of 12 mph.

Don’t like to ride in traffic? The cops have you covered! Thanks to the Miami Beach Police, the traffic is stopped and the riders can enjoy a continuous safe ride.

At the half way point the riders stop to drink water and take a quick breath. The best thing about the ride is that its FREE!
