January 2016 — Look for a new and improved South Pointe Park Water Features sometime soon. Work of the water  plaza will create a beautiful and relaxing ambiance for all to enjoy while visiting the park.

Water feature plaza work will take place at the entrance of South Pointe Park, at the south end of Washington Avenue. The work includes the following tasks:

• Water fountains will be reconfigured to be non- interactive and water cannons as misting stations
• Replacement of pavers with shell aggregate concrete
• Safety improvements
• Installation of new lights on the west side of the plaza
• Reconnection of existing lights on the east side of the plaza

This project is expected to be completed in approximately six months. Please note that this schedule may change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

Activities will be contained to the Washington Avenue plaza from M-F 8a-6p.  Extended work hours are subject to city and neighborhood association approval.

The park will remain open at all times, although certain sections will be restricted due to work. Heavy machinery and equipment may be present at times. Any impact to roadways will be notified to the surrounding neighborhood.
